I am a senior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Global Studies. Pledging Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Incorporated is by the far the best decision I have ever made in my life. SLB or Sigma Lambda Beta has expanded my qualities and made them stronger with unique men from different backgrounds. We build our sense of brotherhood through our ambitions of scholarship, cultural awareness and community service. Today I can tackle the adversities in my life by the means of being a more confident and efficient person. I coordinate my lifestyle to reach the goals I set for myself while trying to graduate. My major is Environmental Studies, I am a Junior striving to one day become a Wildlife Biologist.

My name is Melvin Silverio, I am Dominican from Fort Lauderdale. I am a junior majoring in marketing and minoring in digital media design. I joined Sigma Lambda Beta because I wanted more from myself when I came to FGCU, I wanted to do as much as I could in the most fulfilling way when it came to academics and being involved on campus. In striving to do that I found a group of men who are like minded, diverse, and are striving for success to not only make an impact their lives but also the lives of others. In becoming a brother, I can honestly say that all aspects of my life improved for the best. Confidence, being open minded, going through obstacles, constantly learning and improving myself, just to name a few.
